After making my first Christmas card with the beautiful Peaceful Deer and Deer Punch Builder, I couldn’t resit making another clean and simple card. This time I used Santa’s sleigh from the Be Jolly stamp set to create my card. Every time I see this prancing deer I just imagine a whole heard of reindeer pulling the sleigh and this is exactly how I have positioned the reindeer on my card.

To make this lovely card, I used a base of Thick Basic White card stock and a layer of my favourite Christmas Designer Series Paper – Heartwarming Hugs. Just like my first Christmas card, I have embossed the white background to give the card some texture, but this time I used the new, but very elegant Wintry 3D embossing folder. Those snowflakes are so pretty!

Again, I have chosen Real Red ink for my sentiment as this is a lovely traditional Christmassy colour and coordinates perfectly with the Designer Paper. The layering circles are just the right size for my sentiment as I wanted the focal point of the card to be Santas Sleigh and Reindeer which I coloured with Stampin’ blends.

The deer punch builder is great for quickly punching out the reindeer- a must have if, like me, you are planning on making a lot of these cards but i must confess, did spend a bit more time fussy cutting the sleigh out with my paper snips!

To make the harness I used the gold twine from the Simply Elegant Suite, its perfect for wrapping round the reindeer and giving the impression of the sleigh being pulled….what do think?
