Today I made a Christmas Card using the lovely Peaceful Deer stamp set and Deer Punch Builder. This is a wonderful bundle as the stamp set has so many lovely images and sentiments and the punch makes easy work of cutting out the deer. The prancing deer is so graceful and with a red shiny nose, it could be Rudolph himself!!
To make this card I started with a piece of thick Basic White card, cut in half which I used for my base. I then added a layer of Garden Green and Basic White card stock.I just love the clean and simple white background which I have embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. It gives an elegant finish to the card and It reminds me of snow!
I used the light and dark Cake Crumb Stampin’ Blends to colour Rudolph and attached him to card with multi-purpose liquid glue. The Christmassy ivy and ferns, which i stamped in Garden Green ink and then die cut, are from the Sparkle of the Season bundle.
The combination of red and green make a great traditional Christmas card, so I stamped my sentiment, which is from the Words of Cheer stamp set, in Real Red ink and attached this with Stampin” dimensionals to a gorgeous Encircled in Beauty Die cut. if you look closely you will see a circle of the Be Dazzling speciality paper behind this. I think it makes the sentiment really stand out……I’d love to know what you think?
